Hillsborough River State Park

Hillsborough River State Park, brimming with both beauty and history, is one of Florida's oldest state parks. If time travel is on your agenda, step back to the 1830s courtesy of Fort Foster Historic Site, a reconstructed Second Seminole War Fort.  Just twenty minutes from the Florida State Fairgrounds!  Book now!  There are 88 spots available, each with electrical and water hook-ups, starting at $24 per night.  These spots are available for the duration for the entire week of the Republican National Convention at this time.  Note: We will also be booking the primitive group campground later this summer - it will hold 60 people.

Little Manatee River State Park

The park comprises 2416 acres off US Highway 301, along the Little Manatee River. Beginning in a swampy area in southeastern Hillborough County, the river flows about 40 miles before emptying into Tampa Bay. Approximately 5 miles of the river flow through the park. Campsites are reservable year round. Popular activities include picnicking, hiking, canoeing, horse trails, and camping.  Just thirty-five minutes from the Fairgrounds.

Alafia River State Park

Alafia River State Park is located in southeastern Hillsborough County, about 30 miles southeast of Tampa. It consists of 6,312 acres. Recreational opportunities include camping, fishing, canoeing, and picnicking. A network of 40 miles of trails offer horseback riding, hiking, and some of the best off-road/mountain bicycling in the state. Seasonally Alafia River State Park offers bicycle races. This park is open 365 days a year.

Terra Ceia Village RV Resort
